We loved our stay! The bed was so comfortable and big. The location was awesome. Close to lovely bakery, grocery store, metro, tram and bus station. The items in the fridge were a lovely extra. Right on canal which was an awesome view. Dorine was an amazing host and so accommodating by allowing us to store our luggage before heading off to the ferry. Exceptionally clean. Baby gate at top of stairs made us feel so much better about our toddler wondering around. The cot and high chair made our chair just like home. The extra bed set up for our older daughter was a lovely addition. So quiet even though near a main road. Didn’t hear any noise. Would highly recommend. A truly great place to stay.

We have had a wonderful long weekend in Dorine's charming apartment. In these Corona times it was fantastic to stay at this private apartment on such stunning location. Everything is super clean and...the city is even more enjoyable and nice now. Plenty of space. Dorine is a wonderful hostess and we don't think you'll find a better place in Amsterdam. The apartment is fully equipped with all modern conveniences. We have felt very much at home!

It would have not felt right if I didn't write a note to express my gratitude. Thank you. The furnishings/interior design is stunning and the apartment felt more like a home than a hotel. I can't remember once going to grab something and it wasn't there. This place made my short stay here feel extra special. Take care!

Last year, October 2014, I stayed in this apartment for the first time. I loved it from the first moment. Now I am back the second time. It is a feeling like coming home.

A warm atmosphere will receive you, caused by the host Dorine. You will nothing miss in this environment.

A nice equipped living room (including Nespresso machine) and a luxurious souterrain with shower, separate restroom and comfortable bed represent a starting point for holiday in Amsterdam or a business journey.

Situated at the river Amstel even after business work the environment invited you to small excursion to restaurants, museums or whatever you like.

I am happy to be back this year.

Perfect location on the banks of the Amstel, at a comfortable distance to the buzz of the crowded city centre. You are only a 15 minute quiet stroll away. Very nice and spacey apartment over two floors; living room and a well equipped kitchen on the ground floor and a marvelous huge and comfy double bed in the basement, which also houses a modern and chic bathroom. The apartment has all you need when away from home, wi-fi, iPod docking station, flat screen TV, coffee machine etc... You're just a stones's throw away from a perfect concert venue, the Koninklijk Theater Carre or from the Hermitage Amsterdam. The nearest Metro station is less than a 5 minutes walk away. And add to the above mentioned assets that the owner of the flat, Dorine, is extremely nice and helpful, and you can't go wrong when deciding to stay at Amsterdam Amstel Apartment.

We had a great 3 night stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and had been nicely renovated. The kitchen came provided with all essentials needed for our breakfasts, including coffee machine, and also some drinks and snacks. The wifi had good reception both in lounge/kitchen and bedroom. The apartment faces the amstel canal on a nice quiet street, and is just a couple of minutes walk from a tram stop. It is also just a couple of minutes walk from a Metro stop which we used to arrive and depart. It is also not too far to walk from the central station via the scenic route of the various canals. Highly recommend this apartment, you can look forward to arriving, and returning each day after exploring this very nice city.

Everything one needs to fully enjoy a memorable and relaxing stay in Amsterdam is in place in this canal side apartment. The location on the canal is incomparable and sets the mood for the visit - the street is quiet and scenic - but still central to the many sights of Amsterdam. The owner, Dorine, is a delight and goes above and beyond.

The location is fantastic - steps away from public transportation that can take you to all parts of the city (including easy access from Schiphol via train to Central Station and transfer to Metro) or you can choose to walk to many of the best attractions in town - the Hermitage, Colectie Six, Nationale Opera and Ballet and other sights are all within blocks of the apartment and both the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum are within walking distance albeit somewhat further away. All major tourist sights are easily accessible by tram and/or metro. Transit to Schiphol takes about 30 minutes total from door to door.

The fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare meals in the apartment and Dorine provides coffee and teas along with some welcome goodies to get you started. Two grocery stores, including Marqt, as well as many restaurants and shops, are located on Utrechtsestraat which is the main street on the far side of the canal. For great pastries and breads, check out the new bakery/cafe on Sarphatistraat near the Metro station about one-half block from the Metro station.

The apartment is comfortable and spotlessly clean. Dorine is on hand to provide any assistance needed during your stay. The wi-fi works perfectly. TV has numerous channels including BBC. Furnishings are new and comfortable. Bath towels are substantial and plentiful.

I can't recommend this apartment highly enough.

We stayed at this apartment for more than two weeks for opera, concert and museum visit to Amsterdam. Pleasant and for us perfect location. Living room spacious and full of light with view over the Amstel houses and boats. Bed and bath very comfortable and quiet.

Fully equipped kitchen and lots of extras provided to make stay super comfortable. Place is run by the charming and proud house owner who lives upstairs and did all to make us feel right at home from the start and during our whole stay. Guidebooks and brochures all right there on the table. Most places in easy walking distance, if a bit further no problem since Amsterdam is a beautiful city for walking or rent a bike.

This is our place from now on for future Amsterdam visits.
